After a few days of observing your chrysalides, you might notice that they are changing colour.
The chrysalides start out as a light tan colour with golden points. As the butterfly gets closer to emerging, the chrysalis will darken significantly, becoming dark brown or black. When the butterfly is almost ready to emerge, you will be able to see the outline of the butterflies colourful wings through the surface of the chrysalis!
So if you notice the chrysalis getting darker, don't worry and keep an eye out. Your butterflies are just about ready to make their appearance.
