BugLand™ with Ladybird Larvae
- Water – To add water to this habitat, remove the green watering cap from the BugLand™. Then, using the pipette, place a couple of drops of water onto the sponge in the volcano every other day. Keep the sponge moist at all times, but don’t over water! Ladybirds can drown in standing water. If you see condensation on the sides of the BugLand™, do not add any more water until the condensation disappears.
- Food – The Ladybird Larvae come with all the food they need to develop into adult ladybirds in the tube with them, it looks like sand! Once your ladybirds have emerged from their pupae, you must feed them aphids if you wish to keep them for longer than 48hrs. They require approx. 20 each a day.
Large Ladybird Growing Kit
- Water - In this environment your ladybird larvae don't require you to provide water. However, if you wish, you can add a very small sponge into the corner of the viewing tub and add 1-2 drops of water to this every other day. Please do not overwater the sponge or create any pools of water. Ladybirds can drown in standing water. If you see condensation on the sides of the viewing tub, do not add any more water until the condensation disappears. Please keep any sponge away from the food provided.
