What is a Chrysalis Station?Updated 9 months ago

Once all your caterpillars have formed their chrysalis on the cup lid and hardened for 3 days, you will need to transfer them over to the habitat using a Chrysalis Station or Log, this is a stand that the cup lid sits in.

Each Cup of Caterpillars is sent with a card Chrysalis Station, please contact us if yours is missing.

Some Butterfly Gardens come with a re-useable Chrysalis Holding Log instead; you can also purchase one as part of our Deluxe Feeding Kit.

Please note: If you have a Butterfly Garden with a voucher to redeem for your caterpillars, this will not contain the Chrysalis Station, it will instead arrive with your caterpillars.
