Why are my ladybirds yellow when they emerge?Updated 3 months ago
When your ladybirds first emerge from the pupae stage it’s normal for them to be a light, yellow colour. This is because their new exoskeletons are soft and they need some time to harden into their classic red and black spotted shell. If you observe your ladybirds a few hours after they have emerged you will see they have transformed from yellow to red and black!
